Happy Chanukah!!:

Just this past Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 I got the opportunity to photograph the Menorah Candle Lighting Event that was hosted by the JRCC (Jewish Russian Community Centre) at a plaza near Bathurst & Steeles in Toronto!
It was the first time we covered the event and it was an awesome experience! A little bit on the chilly side -as you can tell by the photos it was snowing a lot and the wind was rather strong too... Everyone was quite the trooper out there though! Thankfully we all survived!! =p
So I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Chanukah and Chag Sameach!!
To our Christian friends: Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
All the best to everyone!!!!
I think this might end up being our last post for the year 2008 as our family is gearing up for a family vacation soon!! We will be leaving for Brazil to visit family and friends, so we are really excited to go! But don't worry, we shall return! We are to arrive back in Toronto on Jan.13th, 2009. Soon after our arrival -on Jan.15th, we will be photographing a wedding! So hang on tight, 2009 is looking busy and promising!! We certainly want to Thank G-d for His provision and tremendous blessings upon our family this past year and we pray that He might continue to bless each one of us in the years to come!
See you all next year...
(By the way, click on the collage below to get a closer look at some of my favourite shots from the event. Enjoy!)

Chaim Dovid Jenkelowitz & Rivky Wachtel: November 27th, 2008

Chaim Dovid & Rivky's wedding was awesome! We had so much fun with these guys -and boy, do they know how to party! What I loved the most about working with these two was that they were not camera shy at all - as a matter of fact, they would come up with the most awesome and creative ideas -especially Chaim Dovid! We simply had a blast!
The wedding took place at The Terrace in Vaughan and everything looked absolutely stunning! The decor was fabulously put together by my parents from Heavenly Flowers, and both the Bride & Groom looked stunning together! What else could a photogapher ask for??
Well, between my brother and I we took thousands of photographs, so we really had a hard time putting this slideshow together of just a few of some of our favourites! But we managed!! So just click on their photo below and it'll take you to their slideshow -Let me know what you think of it, okay? Enjoy!

Dap Thach & Dianne Park: November 22nd, 2008

Dianne & Dap's wedding was so much fun! These two were just fantastic to photograph! -And funny too!! =p
Their wedding was held at the beautiful DoubleTree Hotel right close by Pearson Airport. That was our first time there -it's a gorgeous hotel! There were tones of awesome spots for photos, so we took full advantage of that! We even went outside for some shots! (Yes, it was a little bit chilly, but it was worth it!! -hehehe....)
Bernard & I were really looking forward to photographing their wedding as they had a more traditional Chinese/Korean wedding with the Tea Ceremony and everything -it was really cool! Dianne & Dap also have great supportive family and friends who love them very much and it was just so awesome to be there to capture those special moments for them.
It was especially special for Bernard & I to participate in their wedding because I first met Dianne through Lifestyles Magazine! She was my "rep" who published my Weddings & Bar/Bat Mitzvah portraits in the magazine. And of all of the photographers from the area who published with Lifestyles, Dianne chose us to photograph her wedding! So this is a real honour for me to be able to post their wedding on my blog!
What I loved the most about them was that they were so easy going. We didn't have to worry about anything -even when things were running a little late! They had the best attitude! Afterall, no wedding is ever perfect and they understood that and went with it. And you know what? In the end everything worked out for the best!
So thank you so much Dap & Dianne for giving Bernard & I the opportunity to serve you -we had a blast!
Okay, so click on their photo below to view their slideshow. I just chose some of our favourite shots -and that was really hard to do because there were so many good ones!!
Anyway...enjoy!

The Flook Family Portrait Session: November 29th, 2008

Just last week Bernard & I got a really fun opportunity to photograph the Flook Family! These guys were awesome! We had so much fun!! =p It was a perfect day with plenty of snow on the ground and a beautiful park just down the street from where they live in Stouffvile -I couldn't ask for more! We also went over to the York Region Forest in Stouffvile -that was also a really neat place to go to. Bernard & I had never actually been there before, so we were really excited about it too. The best part was while we were finishing up the session, 2 gorgeous horses with their owners were just riding down the path we were on and so I asked if we could take some shots of the family with the horses and they said that as long as were quite and didn't scare the horses, we could! So we got some sweet shots out of that too!! Wow! It was simply a fantastic photo shoot! Here's a collage of some of my favourite shots of the day:

Zev Wasserman: October 28th, 2008

Alright! Well, we're trying something different in this post....can you guess what it is??
I've arranged the photos differently and into a Montage! Cool, eh? So this marks the very first post I've made with the Montage idea and I'm really excited about it too!!
Zev's pictures were perfect for this idea so I'm glad I've waited until now to try it out....I hope you guys like it -let me know what you think, okay?
Anyway, Zev's Bar Mitzvah took place at the BAYT Synagogue. We actually had quite a bit of fun with these guys-what a great bunch!! The Wasserman Family was all about unity -they did everything in unison! You should have seen them when I asked for them to take one step forward in one of the family photos -they all lifted their feet and took a step all at the same time, together!! I couldn't believe it! I think these guys did some kind of military training together or something....Just kidding!
Zev's a great kid -and very tall for his age too! Wow, he was just as tall as his dad (and his dad's pretty tall!). All in all it was a great photo shoot. Below is my lovely Montage with just some of my favourite shots that I hope you enjoy viewing! Click on the Montage to get a closer look at the photos and just use the Back button on your browser to return to the main Blog.

Shloimie Pick & Nechama Plotnick: October 29th, 2008

The following day after Dovid & Devora's wedding, we were at the BAYT Synagogue to photograph Zev Wasserman's Bar Mitzvah on October the 28th, but as you can see, this is not his Bar Mitzvah photos....that's coming up in the next post! I decided to post Shloimie & Nechama's wedding pictures first as they are anxious to see some pictures from their wedding (and rightfully so!). =p
So, on October 29th, Bernard & I were back at the BAYT Synagogue to photograph Shloimie & Nechama's wedding!
Nechama is a very sweet girl and we got some really beautiful shots of her. And Shloimie was looking very sharp & spiffy, so we got some good shots of him too!! They make a beautiful couple and it was an honour for Bernard & I to photograph their wedding.
The really cool thing was that Shloimie & Nechama are friends with Dovid & Devora (the wedding we photographed 2 days before on October 27th at The Terrace) and they were able to attend Shloimie & Nechama's wedding! So it was really nice to see them again too.
Anyway, I guess it's about time you saw their slideshow! So just click on their photo below to view it -Enjoy!! =p

Dovid Bitton & Devora Hofman: October 27th, 2008

Dovid & Devora's wedding was a wonderful affair that took place at The Terrace in Woodbridge -a big and beautiful hall! (I think they had well over 400 guests at their wedding!)The decorations looked stunning -Of course, they always do when they come from Heavenly Flowers!! (LOL)
Anyway, these two were great to work with. They were willing to do all of the poses and crazy things I asked for them to do -and we all had fun while doing them too! =p
They have wonderful families and Bernard & I truly enjoyed working for them. We took so many photos that we had a really hard time choosing just a few for their slideshow! But I hope you enjoy viewing them.
We certainly want to wish Dovid & Devora a big Mazel Tov for their future together -with many Simchas to come!
Click on their photo below to view their slideshow. Enjoy!

Humberto Lopes & Anna DiBiase: September 20th, 2008

Wow....where do I start with these guys?! Wow.... that's pretty much all I can say!
Anna & Humberto are such a wonderful couple! They are both beautiful from the inside out! They are super models! And their wedding day couldn't have gone more perfectly: gorgeous sunny day, the bride was radiant in her gown, the groom was looking like a stud, everything was on time, the decoration looked stunning and every single minuet detail was taken care of -but you know what the best part about the whole thing was? They loved taking pictures!! What else could I ask for?? We took so many fabulous shots, I couldn't get over how stunning every single one of them looked! Everything was absolutely perfect.
Bernard & I loved going to Kleinburg with them and the bridal party after the ceremony that had taken place in Bolton. We took so many fantastic shots there -we had a BLAST!!
I couldn't wait to do their slideshow -but boy was it hard choosing these few to post here on the blog...the slideshow could have gone on for hours!! But I had to force myselft to keep it small...or else it wouldn't upload, it'd be so big!!
Anyway, so just click on their photo below and it'll take you to their slideshow. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we did photographing them!! =p

Danya Lewis: September 7th, 2008

Danya's Bat Mitzvah was just one beautiful event! It took place at the gorgeous Madsens of Newmarket -located in Newmarket. It's a huge greenhouse beautifully decorated with tones of greens, trees and flowering plants everywhere! It's a stunning place! We've actually been there a couple of times already while photographing other Bat Mitzvahs. =p
The place is filled with awesome spots for pictures -of course, as you know that's my favourite thing to do! (lol)
And Danya was just an awesome model! She looked beautiful and loved being in front of the camera -what else can a photographer ask for?? We definitely had tones of fun -I was even able to get some beautiful night shots of what the place looks like all lit up at night -just phenomenal!!
It was definitely a dream Bat Mitzvah!
I certainly wish Danya a warm Mazel Tov and all the best for the future! It was a huge pleasure for me to be there to record her Bat Mitzvah! =p

Sean Bouchard & Kathy Hui: August 23rd, 2008

Sean & Kathy's wedding was just absolutely stunning! These two were just a phenomenal couple -they were so much fun! Bernard & I definitely enjoyed our day with these guys -and their whole wedding party and families too!! =p
Sean & Kathy's wedding was also very unique with a mixture of both Canadian and Chinese traditions! This was the first time we photographed a Tea Ceremony that was held at Kathy's parents place -which was really cool! And the reception was held at Pickering College in Newmarket -a gorgeous place! We all had tones of fun and I think Bernard & I were able to capture lots of beautiful moments for them. -How about you be the judge and let me know what you think when you view their slideshow! Just click on their photo below and it'll take you right to it.

Aharon Price & Chani Rosengarten: August 21st, 2008

Yep! August was definitely a busy month for us! In 2 weeks we photographed 6 weddings in August alone -a total of 14 weddings in 3 months!! Unbelievable! We certainly cannot complain. We have been truly blessed. But with this blessing, lots of time and dedication must be put into it in order for the business to flourish. I certainly want to thank everyone again for their patience as we've been working hard to get caught up with our August weddings...we are almost done! (Yeah! =p)

Anyway, two days after photographing Matthew & Leah's wedding, we were back at the BAYT to photograph Aharon & Chani's wedding. These two are so sweet!! They were so giddy at their wedding (no kiddin' eh?!) and they were the perfect match! Beautiful!! Both sides of their families were so supportive of them -they were always looking out for each other. It's so sweet to see such loving families together. It makes it all the more worthwhile!

Bernard & I certainly enjoyed our time with them -we took over 1200 photos at their wedding! So out of all of those shots we took, we had a hard time choosing these few for this slideshow! But I think they capture the essence of their wedding day and the wonderful moments they had together.

Click on their photo below to view their slideshow -let me know what you think!

Matthew Simon & Leah Grafstein: August 19th, 2008

Matthew & Leah's wedding was awesome! They were so much fun to photograph! Leah has such a fun & bubbly personality -and she was so excited (for obvious reasons!) I think she thoroughly enjoyed the wedding to the max! My goodness, I've never seen a bride dance as much and as passionately as she did! She's got tones of energy that's for sure! =p
Matthew is a really nice guy who is very much loved by his bride & his family. They make a beautiful couple!
Bernard & I certainly want to wish both of you a wonderful future together with lots of health & happiness -Mazel Tov!

Cute Baby Photos!! -October 6th, 2008

Oh my goodness! I couldn't help but post some of these shots that I took on Monday Oct. 6th of baby Alicia! So CUTE!! =p I took over 200 shots during the 2 hours I spent at her house (or rather, her parents house!) and I had a really hard time choosing these few but I thought it'd be nice to post some shots of other types of photography other than just weddings. -Don't get me wrong though -I do love photographing weddings too!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at some of these shots...I haven't had the chance to edit them or anything, these were just straight out of my camera. But once I do edit them properly, I'll most likely convert some of them to black & white and sepia to give it a more modern look ...that'll look nice, eh?

Jonah Garfinkel & Stephanie Mitchell: August 14th, 2008

Wow! What a wedding this was! Stephanie, Jonah & their families went all out at this wedding! When they say they're making a party, you better be there because these guys know how to make a party -that's for sure!

To begin with, the wedding took place at the beautiful golf club called The Manor up north near King City. With breath-taking scenery, a gorgeous couple and the most beautiful sun-shining day, you couldn't ask for anything more! It was absolutely perfect!!

Jonah & Steph were absolutely wonderful to work with! These guys are natural super models I tell you! They had an awesome time and had bright big smiles right up until the very end of the night. What else can a photographer ask for? Unbelievable!

We certainly wish Jonah and Stephanie all of the best for the future -Mazel Tov!! =p

Click on their photo below and check out their slideshow -Bernard & I absolutely loved their photos and had a really hard time choosing these few -out of over 1300 for this slideshow! But we certainly hope you enjoy watching -let us know what you think!

David Makalsky & Marni Elmaleh: August 11th, 2008

Bernard & I had so much fun photographing David & Marni's wedding! These guys were awesome! They're a great couple -and very much in love with each other!! =p Their wedding was a blast and their families were so much fun too! These guys know how to party!! LOL

David & Marni got married at B'Nai Torah Synagogue, which is a small synagogue in North York...however, on the day of the wedding, the whole place was transformed and everything looked awesomely huge! The whole decoration was totally unique as the reception and ceremony was held in the same room, so they left the Chupah decorated during the reception and that's where Marni & David's head table was put -right under the Chupah! It was so symbolic and looked absolutely stunning!

David & Marni, we certainly wanted to wish you both a warm Mazel Tov and lots of health and happiness for your future together.

I hope you guys enjoy this slideshow that we've put together for you. Just click on the photo below and it'll take you to the show!
All the best.

Leo & Graziela Segovia: August 4th, 2008

Alright! We're making progress! We are now starting to post weddings from August -YESSS!! =p Now hang in there, because we shot 8 weddings in August alone! However, we are doing our absolute best to get everything done as soon as possible -without jeopardizing the quality of our work, of course! So I definitely want to take a moment to thank for everyone's patience as we are doing our best to catch up on all of the August weddings we photographed.

Okay, well for this post we are going to try something a little bit different -actually, if you've been reading our blog, you'll notice that we changed the template of our blog a little bit so that it looks more like our website. And with this change, we also made changes with respect to the slideshows we've been posting on our blog...instead of using a seperate company to host the slideshows (which is what we have been doing up to this point) we are going to host it ourselves!

But first, before we get too carried away with that, let me tell you a little bit about Leo & Graziela...Grazie is a very dear friend of ours. She's Brazilian like us! So we have lots in common. Our families knew each other from way back when we still lived in Brazil! So I thought that's pretty neat. And Leo is Latino and speaks Spanish -and he's also a really cool guy too! They make a great couple and they definitely had lots of fun at their wedding!

The really neat thing about this wedding was that it was held in a huge boat that was docked right in the harbour of Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto. It was a beautiful setting with rose petals, beautiful decorations and the whole shabang! These guys were so much fun to photograph and while the boat cruised around Lake Ontario, we were able to get some fantastic scenic shots from the lake. The whole thing was just awesome! And I think Bernard & I were able to capture the beauty & ingenuity of the wedding.

SO, click on their photo below and it'll take you back to our website to view their slideshow! Let me know what you think. =p

Martin & Gabbie Kepa: July 12th, 2008

Well, Bernard & I absolutely LOVED photographing Martin & Gabbie's wedding! WOW! That's all I can say -what a gorgeous couple!!
We had so much fun with these guys and they have such sweet families -my family is very close to Gabbie's family and so this wedding was very near & dear to our hearts. My parents from Heavenly Flowers did all of the decor at the Toronto Board of Trade in Woodbridge where the wedding took place. Everything looked absolutely stunning! It was a beautiful day that ended with one of my favourite photographs with the final rays of the sunset behind them that night....*sigh*...beautiful, just beautiful!! =p
Click on their photo below and it'll take you to their slideshow -let me know what you think!

Dovid Kanner & Leah Weiner: July 3rd, 2008

Alright! We're starting to catch up....we are now in the month of July!
First of all, I just want to thank for everyone's patience as I try to catch up on all of the weddings we shot this summer...as you can see from all of the previous postings, we've been quite busy!
As a matter of fact, it was only 3 days after we photographed Noah Kaplan's Bar Mitzvah that we photographed Dovid & Leah's wedding at the BAYT Synagogue.
These two were so much fun! They were like two super models!! =p They loved being in front of the camera -and I think we were able to catch their personalities on camera too!
Click on their photo below and check out their wedding slideshow -let me know what you think.

Noah Kaplan: June 29th, 2008

Well, two days after Zevi & Mushki's wedding, we were back at B'Nai Torah Synagogue to photograph Noah's Bar Mitzvah. We had tones of fun with these guys...boy do they know how to party it up! =p Noah's dad, Mr. Kaplan is a riot! He's hilarious! You should have heard the man sing in his speech! Too precious for words!
The cool thing is that Noah received a nice digital camera for his bar mitzvah. Hey, you never know...he could join our ranks one day and be a cool photographer!
It was an awesome night -everyone had fun, the room was beautifully decorated by Mrs. Kaplan -complete with gold fishes swimmin' in each centrepiece! What a night... We certainly wish Noah a big Mazel Tov for the future! All the best buddy. =p
Here are some of our favourite shots of the night.....Enjoy!
