Trip to Israel 2010: December 31, 09 - January 17, 2010

Wow....I must say, that to be able to come here to write this post today is nothing short of a miracle!
This has been an enormous ongoing project since our return from Israel back in January; to go through all of over 6000 plus photos that we took there, pick out the best ones, edit them, categorize them and create a website to showcase them!
Let me tell you it's been quite the long journey, but a very fun and rewarding one at that too!

Many people have been asking us since coming back "So when are we going to see your pictures?" , "Are they ready yet?", "Will you be printing them?". And up to this point, I've had to say to everyone "Soon! I'm still going through them and editing", etc, etc, etc....
Well, now I can finally answer with confidence that YES, the photos are now available for you to see!! YAY!! (Thank goodness!)

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is with great joy and much anticipation that I present to you our family's website showcasing all of our favourite shots from every city and location we visited while in Israel:

http://israel2010.heavenlyphotography.ca

Feel free to pass this website address to all of your family and friends so they can view it as well!
(I'm still making some minor adjustments to the galleries, etc. but the overall site and all of the photos are good to go!)
We hope you enjoy viewing Israel through our eyes and can catch a glimpse into the journey of the beloved Promised Land of Milk & Honey!

Here's a small sample of some of my favourite shots that are on the website:

RAMBAM Hospital Fundraising Event: May 4th, 2010

I had the wonderful privilege of photographing the RAMBAM Hospital Fundraising Event that was held in downtown Toronto.
This is an incredible work that the doctors and staff at the RAMBAM Hospital -located in Haifa, Israel- are putting together for the health and safety of the people of Israel.
They are raising funds to build an underground hospital located in the underground parking of the actual hospital! It's an amazing concept! An underground parking lot that holds thousands of cars can be transformed, within 60 hours, into a fully functioning hospital -complete with an emergency room, operating rooms, dialysis treatment section, a maternity ward, etc... and everything you could possibly need in a fully functioned hospital as big as this one is!
They even showed us pictures of the parking lot filled with cars and then what the place looks like after with the entire hospital set up -it's unbelievable! You'd never think it was ever a parking lot to begin with!

Well, needless to say, I felt extremely honoured to have been chosen to photograph the event and to support such a tremendous project.
At the fundraiser, they even set up a mock-up presentation of the underground hospital complete with hospital beds, instruments and even actors to act out the functionality of a typical day at the hospital! It was awesome! :)
Check out some of my favourite shots from the fundraising event below by clicking on the photo -let me know what you think! Enjoy!
