Happy New Year Everyone!! -January 4th, 2010

Bernard & I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy New Year! May this year bring lots of blessings and prosperity to you all!
You may have noticed that I'm writting this a little bit late (on January the 4th!), that's because right now we're taking a little break from work and are enjoying some time off in ISRAEL! That's right!! Right now, I'm writting to you from Galilee! (We finally got some internet connection here so I could write this post!)
It's been a wonderful trip so far and we look forward to seeing more of this beautiful country in the days to come! =p
We will be returning to Toronto on January 15th, 2010 where we'll resume our regular working schedules then.
(I also hope to be able to update the blog with some fresh work as well upon our return!)
Thank you so much for a wonderful past year in 2009 and for giving our family the wonderful opportunity to serve you and your families!
We are certainly looking foward to an awesome year in 2010 with you!

PS -Here's a fun shot of our family in Caeserea's National Park at the Roman Theater! With our parents from Heavenly Flowers.

Olympic Torch Journey! -December 17th, 2009

I had the awesome opportunity to watch and photograph the Olympic Torch pass by en route to downtown Toronto -and ultimately, to BC where the Games will be held in just over 50 days! The really cool thing is that according to 680news.com, "The torch relay to Vancouver is being called the longest relay in a single country in Olympic history."
How exciting is that?
Well, to celebrate the moment, I created a simple little slideshow with some of my favourite shots...I just had to share it with you all -because I would imagine that not everyone got the opportunity to see it...so this is my way of sharing it with you! Plus, it was fun to put the slideshow together and it's fun to watch too!! =p
Hope you enjoy the show -let me know what you think! =p

Soldiers of Israel Fundraising Gala Dinner: October 18th, 2009

Bernard & I had the wonderful opportunity to give back to the Jewish Community by volunteering in giving our photography services to the Soldiers of Israel Fundraising Gala Dinner that took place at the Embassy Grand Convention Centre in Brampton.
It was an absolutely wonderful evening! It was very touching to hear from the soldiers who are in actual service for the Israeli Army and the hardships and struggles they continuously go through and fight for in the name and freedom of their country. Yet, it was also very encouraging to hear how the generosity of those who are able to help, in so many different ways, was making such an impact in the lives of these young soldiers!
We were extremely touched to have received this letter from the Soldiers of Israel commity thanking us for our services:
We felt very honoured to have been chosen to photograph such a significant event that is sure to touch many lives all over the world!
Below are just some of our favourite shots from the event. Hope you enjoy!

Yaakov Morgenstern & Ruti Rrhochman: October 15th, 2009

Yaakov & Ruti's wedding was so special! We had an awesome time photographing them and their families! They are such a good looking couple, (don't worry, ALL of our clients are beautiful!)and they look so good together! =p
The wedding was held at the BAYT synagogue and my parents at Heavenly Flowers did the floral and decor artwork -everything looked stunningly beautiful!!
It was so much fun to photograph these guys- you should have seen Ruti throw her actual bouquet in the air for her sisters to catch! It was awesome!! I even caught the shot with the bouquet in mid-air too! HAHA!!=p
But I must say that my favourite shots are at the end when we did some sweet night shots at the end of the night in front of the Shull! So make sure you watch the slideshow all the way to the end! They look sooo good!! (Not the pictures though, the couple! LOL!)
Anyway, hope you enjoy viewing the pictures below! =p

Avishai Gasner: September 7th, 2009

First of all, I just want to say that I think Avishai's name is so neat! He has a great name!
Secondly, Bernard & I had a ton of fun with him and his family during his Bar Mitzvah! On the Sunday, the day before his actual Bar Mitzvah, we went to a really cool little park that we have never been to before. We love going to new and different places because it gives us the opportunity to be creative and see things differently and get awesome angles!
We had a great time photographing Avishai and his family there at the park -it was the perfect day too! The sun was streaming through the leaves on the trees and giving off that warm glow -it was fantastic!
Then the next day, we were at the BAYT Synagogue bright and early in the morning for his actual reading of the Torah. Avishai did an awesome job!
His parents and siblings were extremely proud of him! It was so neat for us to be there to witness and catch those special moments for them.
Mazel Tov Avishai! You did your parents proud! =p
Check out some of our favourite shots from both days below:

Yosef Halpern: August 30th, 2009

Bernard & I had the wonderful opportunity to do some amazing portraits of Yosef for his Bar Mitzvah.
We went to his house and got some awesome shots of him and his family! His sisters are so cute!! =p
We had a great time photographing and making memories for them.
All the best & Mazel Tov Yosef! We truly appreciate the opportunity to be able to photograph such a special event for you!

Aryeh Pliskin & Chana Brenner: August 23rd, 2009

Well, as you can see, August was an insanely busy month for us! And I haven't even posted or will be able to post every single wedding we photographed that month -or else I'll never get caught up on these blog posts!!

However, I did have to post this incredible wedding we photographed in Detroit! But first though, before I embark on telling this journey, I must thank Chana, Aryeh and their families for choosing us to photograph their wedding in Detroit.
Chana first heard about us and saw our work while she was participating in Yitzi & Libby's wedding here in Toronto. She loved our work and our style of photography and wanted us to photograph her wedding too!
So Thank You Chana & Aryeh for entrusting your wedding memories to us -we feel extremely honoured and are truly grateful for the opportunity you have given us!

Now, where do I begin? WOW! That would be the perfect word to describe this incredible wedding! To begin with, the wedding was held at The Dearborn Inn -a gorgeous and historical hotel near Detroit, Michigan.

Chana looked absolutely magnificent in her wedding dress and Aryeh looked like Prince Charming himself in his dashing suit! With such a fantastic combination of a gorgeous looking couple along with an equally stunning place like The Dearborn Inn, we couldn't possibly take a "bad" photograph, even if we wanted to!! It was photography heaven for us! =p
We loved capturing the emotions and the harmony that was felt amongst both families; the joyful tears, the bubbly laughter and the shear excitement of this much anticipated day! It was so touching!!

Boy, and when I tell you we had a hard time choosing these few shots to show on this post, I really mean it! It was extremely hard to choose these select few because everyone looked so good in all of them!!
I certainly hope these shots we have chosen will help describe a little bit of what we experienced at Aryeh and Chana's wonderful wedding! We felt extremely privileged to not only have witnessed this incredible event but to have captured these treasured memories for them -for life! ....Enjoy!
