Trip to Israel 2010: December 31, 09 - January 17, 2010

Wow....I must say, that to be able to come here to write this post today is nothing short of a miracle!
This has been an enormous ongoing project since our return from Israel back in January; to go through all of over 6000 plus photos that we took there, pick out the best ones, edit them, categorize them and create a website to showcase them!
Let me tell you it's been quite the long journey, but a very fun and rewarding one at that too!

Many people have been asking us since coming back "So when are we going to see your pictures?" , "Are they ready yet?", "Will you be printing them?". And up to this point, I've had to say to everyone "Soon! I'm still going through them and editing", etc, etc, etc....
Well, now I can finally answer with confidence that YES, the photos are now available for you to see!! YAY!! (Thank goodness!)

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is with great joy and much anticipation that I present to you our family's website showcasing all of our favourite shots from every city and location we visited while in Israel:

http://israel2010.heavenlyphotography.ca

Feel free to pass this website address to all of your family and friends so they can view it as well!
(I'm still making some minor adjustments to the galleries, etc. but the overall site and all of the photos are good to go!)
We hope you enjoy viewing Israel through our eyes and can catch a glimpse into the journey of the beloved Promised Land of Milk & Honey!

Here's a small sample of some of my favourite shots that are on the website:

RAMBAM Hospital Fundraising Event: May 4th, 2010

I had the wonderful privilege of photographing the RAMBAM Hospital Fundraising Event that was held in downtown Toronto.
This is an incredible work that the doctors and staff at the RAMBAM Hospital -located in Haifa, Israel- are putting together for the health and safety of the people of Israel.
They are raising funds to build an underground hospital located in the underground parking of the actual hospital! It's an amazing concept! An underground parking lot that holds thousands of cars can be transformed, within 60 hours, into a fully functioning hospital -complete with an emergency room, operating rooms, dialysis treatment section, a maternity ward, etc... and everything you could possibly need in a fully functioned hospital as big as this one is!
They even showed us pictures of the parking lot filled with cars and then what the place looks like after with the entire hospital set up -it's unbelievable! You'd never think it was ever a parking lot to begin with!

Well, needless to say, I felt extremely honoured to have been chosen to photograph the event and to support such a tremendous project.
At the fundraiser, they even set up a mock-up presentation of the underground hospital complete with hospital beds, instruments and even actors to act out the functionality of a typical day at the hospital! It was awesome! :)

Brad & Irene's Wedding: April 10th, 2010

Well, things have changed rapidly since our last post! We had thought that our last wedding for the Spring season was in March, however, we were so pleased and excited for the last minute opportunity we received to photograph Brad & Irene's wedding at the Sutton Place Hotel in downtown Toronto!
What an incredible couple! It was such a huge privilege for Bernard & I to photograph their wedding! Brad & Irene looked stunning in their wedding attire -especially Irene who was positively glowing in her wedding gown! She looked amazing! And I absolutely LOVE that hair piece she had on her hair -incredibly tasteful!
The flowers and decor was another incredible job done by Heavenly Flowers. The room looked unbelievable from up top on the 33rd floor of the hotel! In fact, you could see all of Toronto from up top. It was a gorgeous view!!
We had a blast with these guys! They were so much fun -and the most important part is that Irene & Brad thoroughly enjoyed their wedding day! Now that's extremely important.

Hope you enjoy viewing just some of our favourite shots from their beautiful da.

Yosef Fox & Rachel Benchetrit: March 7th, 2010

Yay!! We have finally caught up with posting all of our weddings so far this year! What a relief!!
Now, we await anxiously for our next batch of weddings coming up this summer starting in late May...stay tuned for more then! ;)

In the mean time, I'd love to show you some of our favourite shots from Yosef & Rachel's wedding that was held at The Royalton in Vaughan -what an awesome couple! They were so much fun to hang out with and take pictures of! They were definitely into photography -especially Rachel! She was an incredible model and they both looked stunning in their wedding attire!:)

Everything ran quite smoothly throughout the wedding; the decor was incredibly tasteful and was put together by my parents at Heavenly Flowers, the live band from Zemer was amazing (as usual!), the food was simply deeelish and even the Henna that was held at the end of the night went extremely well!
I must say though, that the cutest part for me was when the little flower girl was walking down the aisle during the ceremony...she got almost half way down that long aisle, took a look back to see her dad encouraging her to go on, then bolted back onto her daddy's arms and wouldn't let go! So her dad took her by the hand and lead her down the aisle together. It was all so cute -and the best part was that we were able to capture it all for them!!

All in all it was an amazing wedding. Bernard & I felt extremely honoured to have been chosen to photograph their special day! What an amazing privilege -to say the least!

We certainly wish Yosef and Rachel all the best in their future together -Mazel Tov!!
And we hope you enjoy viewing just a few of some of our favourite shots from their wedding (out of over 2000 pictures!! This was probably the most we've ever taken at a wedding! Insane!!) Enjoy!

Michoel Stuart: March 1st, 2010

Bernard & I had so much fun photographing Michoel -he's a great model and lots of fun to hang out with! We would just laughed the whole time, it was hilarious!! :)
He's a very good kid and very patient with me and my crazy ideas that sometimes wouldn't work or when it did, it took a while to get it right! But I guess it's all part of the experience!

Michoel did a great job laining at the Chabad Gate Shull in the morning. You should have seen how proud his parents were -his mom was beaming from ear to ear!
Later on in the afternoon we went to the BAYT to do his portraits and then the party in the evening...and boy, do those kids know how to party -they had a blast and a half, that's for sure!
Mazel Tov Michoel! You did a great job on your Bar Mitzvah! We wish you all the best.

Shloime Spitzer & Miryam Weinstein: February 16th, 2010

Bernard & I had an exciting opportunity to photograph another wedding at The Presidente in Vaughan.
We had a lot of fun doing Shloime & Miryam's wedding -they are such a fun couple! Very relaxed, down-to-earth and just down right happy to be getting married! Hahahaa!!
They are so cute together -very young! But a good looking couple nonetheless! :)
We did a lot of fun and creative poses with them -both individually and as a couple -and it was awesome!
Shloime completely melted the hearts of all the girls -and most importantly his sweetheart- with a song he sang and played the guitar to. He's such a romantic!
All in all, it was a very fun and relaxed wedding that was brimming at the seams with joy and happiness for this awesome couple!
Mazel Tov Shloime & Miryam! We wish you all the best in your future together!! :)
Hope you enjoy viewing just a few of my faves...

Piano Collage

I just had to share this cute wall portrait collage I made for a client from a wedding we photographed in Montreal! These little girls are just adorable!! I love their little dresses and how they are having so much fun dancing together -so awesome! Hehehee....

So the Grandmother asked for me to put this collage together so she could hang it up on her wall..cutest thing ever! :)
