Zev Herskovitz & Enny Kadoch: August 8th, 2010

Well, it seems that at this time, the best I've been able to pull off amidst all the busyness is to post one blog entry per month! -Which is unfortunate because I would love to share with you ALL of the weddings we've been photographing lately, but it just hasn't been possible...
Nevertheless, I'm glad to be able to share this one with you all -this year still! (heheheee...)

This was an amazing wedding that Bernard & I had the priviledge to photograph.
Enny & Zev's was a fairytale of a wedding! It took place at the Paradise Banquet Hall in Woodbridge -a beautifully renovated hall.
To begin with, I have never seen a more lavish wedding gown in my entire photographic career to date! (a Vera Wang wedding gown, no less!) Enny looked incredulously STUNNING -and her hair....Unbelievable! She was an absolutely gorgeous bride!
Zev was looking like the stud that he is! LOL What can I say? They make a gorgeous couple!

It was a beautiful wedding -and one we aren't bound to forget anytime soon! The decor and floral work looked AMAZING! My parents, at Heavenly Flowers did a fantastic job with all the artwork from the bouquets, backdrops, centerpieces -all the way down to the most minute detail of the wedding cake!
Speaking of which, I couldn't help but include a couple of shots of that wedding cake and the dessert buffet room -unbelievable stuff! There was a water fountain built around the cake -Incredible works of art everywhere!

I've compiled just a small taste of Zev's & Enny's wedding -there were way too many awesome pictures of their wedding to choose from, but I did my best to tell the wonderful story of how their day went. (Make sure you watch the show till the very end!)

Gabi Shull & Chaya Fischman: July 26th, 2010

Gabi & Chaya's wedding was a lot of fun!
They are such loving and sincere people. They love to have fun and pose for the camera -I love that! It's so nice to have a couple who really enjoys taking pictures and wants to have fun.
We had a blast taking pictures -especially Gabi! Boy, what a character that one is! We definitely had lots of laughs!
Chaya was so calm and trusting -she was just so happy to be getting married! She looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding gown!
The wedding was held at the BAYT Synagogue in Thornhill. The decor was amazingly gorgeous! I had to add a few of the decor shots in the slideshow -I loved the colour combinations!

One thing that I thought was so sweet of Gabi to do for Chaya was sing for her right before they were about to come in for the dancing and at the head table during the meal -so cute!
All in all it was a wonderful event that Bernard & I were so grateful to be a part of.

Click on their photo below to view the slideshow of some of my favourite shots: Enjoy! :)

Jonathan Ouzzan & Devorah Lugassy: July 22nd, 2010

I do want to apologize for neglecting the blog for the past 2 months...we've been so crazy busy it has been hard to keep up with everything else -let alone update the blog!
But I do appreciate all of your patience and understanding as I know many of you have been anxious to see some of our favourite shots from Jonathan & Devorah's wedding. So thank you for patiently waiting for me!

Well, this is definitely one wedding that will stand out in my mind for the year 2o1o! What an incredible wedding to be a part of!
The wedding was held at the Le Parc Banquet Hall in Markham -a beautiful hall! It was actually our first time photographing a wedding there.
Devorah look absolutely fabulous in her cathedral-like wedding gown with the most amazing -and longest- train I have ever seen! WOW, she looked impeccable in it.
Jonathan was also looking rather dashing in his nice suit! And he complimented Devorah rather nicely right beside her! They make a stunning couple. :)
The wedding went without a hitch! With amazing, and timely, consulting services by Florence Dimant, everything flowed smoothly from one event to the next with ease and perfection. Let me tell you, with the size of this wedding, that was not an easy thing to do! But with every one's cooperation, everything ran smoothly.
The floral decor and little details throughout the wedding were simply gorgeous -I even included some of those in my favourites because they were too nice to pass off!
Then, there was the lavish Henna party that took place right after the reception -which was amazing! Boy, do these guys know how to party!
What I loved the most about the Henna, was the gifts they received, which were so tenderly given by family members. It was amazing to see and to capture the love between them and the joy that was shared throughout. That, my friend, is a gift in and of itself!
We certainly want to wish Jonathan & Devorah a big Mazel Tov and much Nachas in their new future together. And we thank them for entrusting us with the incredible responsibility of capturing such precious and memorable moments for them. We had a wonderful time!

Click on their photo below to view the slideshow of some of our favourite shots (it was so hard to choose these few) -there were so many good ones! Enjoy! :)

Daniel Casez: July 9th, 2010

I'm so excited to post about Daniel's Bar Mitzvah!
This was the most different experience we've ever had in photographing such an event -and it was so much fun!
When Daniel's mom & I first started talking, she mentioned that Daniel was very athletic and loved all sorts of sports, but his ultimate favourite is the extreme sport of extreme roller bladding. As soon as she said that, I knew Bernard would love the idea and would definitely want to take action shots of Daniel roller bladding.
So off we went to Richmond Green, in Richmond Hill where they have a really cool skate park for just these kinds of extreme sports.
But first, mom wanted to make sure that she got some nice portraits of Daniel alone and some of the family too! So they all dressed up in white tops & jeans -so cute- and we went to another part of the park that has a really nice garden and waterfall (really nice, by the way!) to take their portraits. We had lots of fun there -Daniel's little twin brothers were so cute!
But Daniel was anxious for the best part of the photo shoot -doing some action shots at the skate park!
And we really did have a blast with him there! Boy, can that kid fly in the air -incredible! He not only roller blades, but does bike jumps too!
We got some SWEET shots from it, that's for sure! I couldn't wait to share!!
So click on his picture below to view the slideshow -love to know what you think! ;)
Enjoy!

Moshe Mernick & Melanie Deverett: June 21st, 2010

I know many of you have been anticipating some of our more recent weddings & events, so I do want to apologize for the delay of my blog posts -we've just been so extremely busy, it's been really hard to keep up! But I do promise to try to catch up and post some of our latest work soon!

In any case, I knew I for sure couldn't forget to post THIS wedding! Moshe & Melanie are the bomb! They were so much fun to photograph, it was hilarious!
Melanie was simply bubbling over joy -and rightfully so! It was indeed her wedding day and she was going to thoroughly enjoy it! She looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding gown and was so much fun to photograph -she would just laugh the whole time!
Moshe was no different. He was simply exploding with excitement and could hardly sit still long enough for me to take formal pictures of him! So we went for more of the fun creative shots instead and had an awesome time at it!
I think these two were definitely made for each other!
What I loved the most about this wedding was the love and support that both families showed towards Moshe & Melanie and the excitement they all shared. It was so special to capture those moments of closeness that bonded them together.
And boy, did they have fun! Wow, I've never seen this style of presentation & speeches at a wedding before.
Mr. Deverett put a lot of work into setting up a full cantata of rewritten songs, funny acts and speeches for the couple -all this was done in the middle of dancing! It was awesome and very nicely done.
But what totally blew me away was what the ladies did for Melanie towards the end of the dancing. They brought out a huge canoe with Melanie's little sister on it! It was incredible and something that I'll never forget!
Wow, what a night...needless to say, it was an unforgettable evening that we were so thankful to be a part of, and to capture such special moments that they can cherish forever.
It was so hard to choose these few shots to tell their story, but I hope you enjoy it! So click on their photo below to view their slide show.
Mazel Tov Moshe & Melanie! Wishing you both all the best and a wonderful future together!

Jeffery Perlman & Abra Maizels: June 16th, 2010

WOW -that's probably the best word to describe Jeffery & Abra's wedding! What an amazing wedding!
What made this wedding special & unique was Abra's one request: "I want something different, artistic & fun!"
"Ok", I said "You want something different? I'll give you something different! I'm game! Lets do this!"
Result: We had an absolute BLAST!! :)
Jeffery was an awesome model too -that guy knows how to pose!

Everything turned out beautiful at this wedding -from the gorgeous decor work (done by my parents at Heavenly Flowers) to the food and the fun shtick and dancing thrown at the reception, a Fantabulous time was had by all!

My absolute favourite part was at the very end of the night when I took Jeffery & Abra outside for some really nice night shots! It was incredible!!

So click on their photo below to view their slide show -and make sure you watch it until the very end....there were some fantastic stuff done at the end of the night!
Enjoy :)

Oriel Cohen: May 31st, 2010

Bernard & I had the incredible opportunity to photograph Oriel's awesome Bar Mitzvah!
WOW! And what a Bar Mitzvah it was: From the incredible decor (put together by my parents at Heavenly Flowers) to the touching speeches and fun dancing, this party was an absolute hit!
It had absolutely everything a kid could ever ask for -and MORE!
Oriel definitely had a tone of fun and he was the perfect model to photograph -he knows his stuff! LOL
We wish Oriel all the best and a huge Mazel Tov! :)
Check it all out below -just click on his picture to view a few of our favourite shots (they were so hard to choose! There were just too many good ones...but I hope you enjoy!):

Zevi Muller & Chaya Weinles: May 26th, 2010

Well, as you can see, we've been extremely busy since starting the wedding season with these two weddings back to back! But we are extremely grateful for the work we have been given. It's always a pleasure working for the community!

We were back at the Terrace Banquet Hall again for Zevi & Chaya's wedding! It's interesting though that despite returning to the same hall the very next day to photograph another wedding, the atmosphere of the place changes with the people who come to attend or participate in the wedding. There's always a different feel...it's so neat to see how differing personalities can change everything! I guess it's a good thing that we're all so different -it keeps things fresh and exciting! :)

We had a great time photographing Zevi & Chaya's wedding -Chaya was all about the fun and relaxed poses -nothing stiff or too poesy- so I definitely got a kick out of that! I love challenges and finding different angles and ideas that makes each wedding different! So we set out to do just that and it was so much fun!
Chaya looked absolutely stunning in her gown -and she's got a gorgeous smile too! So it was definitely easy to get beautiful shots of her! She was the perfect model!
Zevi was a lot of fun too -he's from Switzerland, which I thought was really cool!
They definitely make an amazing couple and we certainly wish them a big Mazel Tov and much Nachas in their bright future together!

Click on their picture below to view their slideshow! Hope you enjoy it -there were some fun surprises, so make sure you watch it till the end! Let me know what you think! :)

Levy Bronchtain & Rivka Nelken: May 25th, 2010

Summer is definitely starting to sizzle up with weddings!
We kick things off with a gorgeous wedding for Levy & Rivka that was held at the Terrace Banquet Hall.
These two were so much fun to photograph! We had a blast!! :)
I love coming up with different ideas and poses that we can do to make each wedding different and unique -after all, each couple is different and unique in their own way! So we definitely try to bring out their personality in their photos -and that was certainly not hard to do with Rivka & Levy! They were so easy to hang out with -I loved it when Rivka would laugh! We were able to capture some of that laughter throughout the wedding! LOL :)
My absolute favourite part was doing the night shots at the very end! It's so nice when you don't have the pressure of time on you to rush to get all of the pictures done, because the wedding is over and the bride & groom are relaxed -they had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends- now, they can enjoy one another's company! So, I took them to the beautiful gazebo outside at night and had a great time taking some awesome night shots with them!
It was a wonderful way to end a wonderful day!
We Hope you enjoy viewing just some of our favourite shots from their wedding. Click on their picture below to view the slide show.

Trip to Israel 2010: December 31, 09 - January 17, 2010

Wow....I must say, that to be able to come here to write this post today is nothing short of a miracle!
This has been an enormous ongoing project since our return from Israel back in January; to go through all of over 6000 plus photos that we took there, pick out the best ones, edit them, categorize them and create a website to showcase them!
Let me tell you it's been quite the long journey, but a very fun and rewarding one at that too!

Many people have been asking us since coming back "So when are we going to see your pictures?" , "Are they ready yet?", "Will you be printing them?". And up to this point, I've had to say to everyone "Soon! I'm still going through them and editing", etc, etc, etc....
Well, now I can finally answer with confidence that YES, the photos are now available for you to see!! YAY!! (Thank goodness!)

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is with great joy and much anticipation that I present to you our family's website showcasing all of our favourite shots from every city and location we visited while in Israel:

http://israel2010.heavenlyphotography.ca

Feel free to pass this website address to all of your family and friends so they can view it as well!
(I'm still making some minor adjustments to the galleries, etc. but the overall site and all of the photos are good to go!)
We hope you enjoy viewing Israel through our eyes and can catch a glimpse into the journey of the beloved Promised Land of Milk & Honey!

Here's a small sample of some of my favourite shots that are on the website:

RAMBAM Hospital Fundraising Event: May 4th, 2010

I had the wonderful privilege of photographing the RAMBAM Hospital Fundraising Event that was held in downtown Toronto.
This is an incredible work that the doctors and staff at the RAMBAM Hospital -located in Haifa, Israel- are putting together for the health and safety of the people of Israel.
They are raising funds to build an underground hospital located in the underground parking of the actual hospital! It's an amazing concept! An underground parking lot that holds thousands of cars can be transformed, within 60 hours, into a fully functioning hospital -complete with an emergency room, operating rooms, dialysis treatment section, a maternity ward, etc... and everything you could possibly need in a fully functioned hospital as big as this one is!
They even showed us pictures of the parking lot filled with cars and then what the place looks like after with the entire hospital set up -it's unbelievable! You'd never think it was ever a parking lot to begin with!

Well, needless to say, I felt extremely honoured to have been chosen to photograph the event and to support such a tremendous project.
At the fundraiser, they even set up a mock-up presentation of the underground hospital complete with hospital beds, instruments and even actors to act out the functionality of a typical day at the hospital! It was awesome! :)
Check out some of my favourite shots from the fundraising event below by clicking on the photo -let me know what you think! Enjoy!

Brad & Irene's Wedding: April 10th, 2010

Well, things have changed rapidly since our last post! We had thought that our last wedding for the Spring season was in March, however, we were so pleased and excited for the last minute opportunity we received to photograph Brad & Irene's wedding at the Sutton Place Hotel in downtown Toronto!
What an incredible couple! It was such a huge privilege for Bernard & I to photograph their wedding! Brad & Irene looked stunning in their wedding attire -especially Irene who was positively glowing in her wedding gown! She looked amazing! And I absolutely LOVE that hair piece she had on her hair -incredibly tasteful!
The flowers and decor was another incredible job done by Heavenly Flowers. The room looked unbelievable from up top on the 33rd floor of the hotel! In fact, you could see all of Toronto from up top. It was a gorgeous view!!
We had a blast with these guys! They were so much fun -and the most important part is that Irene & Brad thoroughly enjoyed their wedding day! Now that's extremely important.

Click on their picture below to view their slideshow!
Hope you enjoy viewing just some of our favourite shots from their beautiful da.

Yosef Fox & Rachel Benchetrit: March 7th, 2010

Yay!! We have finally caught up with posting all of our weddings so far this year! What a relief!!
Now, we await anxiously for our next batch of weddings coming up this summer starting in late May...stay tuned for more then! ;)

In the mean time, I'd love to show you some of our favourite shots from Yosef & Rachel's wedding that was held at The Royalton in Vaughan -what an awesome couple! They were so much fun to hang out with and take pictures of! They were definitely into photography -especially Rachel! She was an incredible model and they both looked stunning in their wedding attire!:)

Everything ran quite smoothly throughout the wedding; the decor was incredibly tasteful and was put together by my parents at Heavenly Flowers, the live band from Zemer was amazing (as usual!), the food was simply deeelish and even the Henna that was held at the end of the night went extremely well!
I must say though, that the cutest part for me was when the little flower girl was walking down the aisle during the ceremony...she got almost half way down that long aisle, took a look back to see her dad encouraging her to go on, then bolted back onto her daddy's arms and wouldn't let go! So her dad took her by the hand and lead her down the aisle together. It was all so cute -and the best part was that we were able to capture it all for them!!

All in all it was an amazing wedding. Bernard & I felt extremely honoured to have been chosen to photograph their special day! What an amazing privilege -to say the least!

We certainly wish Yosef and Rachel all the best in their future together -Mazel Tov!!
And we hope you enjoy viewing just a few of some of our favourite shots from their wedding (out of over 2000 pictures!! This was probably the most we've ever taken at a wedding! Insane!!) Enjoy!

April 7, 2010

Michoel Stuart: March 1st, 2010

Bernard & I had so much fun photographing Michoel -he's a great model and lots of fun to hang out with! We would just laughed the whole time, it was hilarious!! :)
He's a very good kid and very patient with me and my crazy ideas that sometimes wouldn't work or when it did, it took a while to get it right! But I guess it's all part of the experience!

Michoel did a great job laining at the Chabad Gate Shull in the morning. You should have seen how proud his parents were -his mom was beaming from ear to ear!
Later on in the afternoon we went to the BAYT to do his portraits and then the party in the evening...and boy, do those kids know how to party -they had a blast and a half, that's for sure!
Mazel Tov Michoel! You did a great job on your Bar Mitzvah! We wish you all the best.
Check out some of my favourite shots below and let me know what you think:

March 28, 2010

Shloime Spitzer & Miryam Weinstein: February 16th, 2010

Bernard & I had an exciting opportunity to photograph another wedding at The Presidente in Vaughan.
We had a lot of fun doing Shloime & Miryam's wedding -they are such a fun couple! Very relaxed, down-to-earth and just down right happy to be getting married! Hahahaa!!
They are so cute together -very young! But a good looking couple nonetheless! :)
We did a lot of fun and creative poses with them -both individually and as a couple -and it was awesome!
Shloime completely melted the hearts of all the girls -and most importantly his sweetheart- with a song he sang and played the guitar to. He's such a romantic!
All in all, it was a very fun and relaxed wedding that was brimming at the seams with joy and happiness for this awesome couple!
Mazel Tov Shloime & Miryam! We wish you all the best in your future together!! :)
Hope you enjoy viewing just a few of my faves...

Piano Collage

I just had to share this cute wall portrait collage I made for a client from a wedding we photographed in Montreal! These little girls are just adorable!! I love their little dresses and how they are having so much fun dancing together -so awesome! Hehehee....

So the Grandmother asked for me to put this collage together so she could hang it up on her wall..cutest thing ever! :)

March 19, 2010

Shayne Friedman: February 6th, 2010

Bernard & I were so excited to photograph Shayne's Bar Mitzvah over at King Solomon's Table in Toronto!
Shayne is a pretty easy going guy -and good looking too! LOL
We got some really cool shots with him and his family! We first photographed him layning at the Westmount Shull in Thornhill on the Thursday before, and on the Saturday night, it was party time at King Solomon's!
These kids definitely had a blast at the party! The DJ did a great job at getting the kids all hyped up and excited to dance the night away! It was awesome!!
Mazel Tov Shayne! We had a fantastic time photographing you guys! All the best :)

Well, hope you enjoy a few of our favourite shots below -let us know what you think!
Thanks so much!!

March 17, 2010

Ariel Kirzner & Heila Wellman: Jaunary 24th, 2010

Wow, what a wedding! Bernard & I had the awesome privilege of photographing Ariel & Heila's wedding which was held at the BAYT Synagogue in Thornhill.
This was such a special wedding for us to photograph as we had photographed Mrs. Wellman's best friend's son's wedding, Mrs. Steiner, in England 2 years ago and we hung out with the Wellmans quite a bit while we were there -they are such a sweet family! Mrs. Wellman is the best!! :)
So you can imagine how excited we were when we were asked to photograph Ariel & Heila's wedding!
If I had one word to best describe this wedding, the word would have to be "Epic"! Heheheee...It was simply awesome! :)
Heila looked absolutely STUNNING in her wedding gown and Ariel was looking super cool in his suit! These guys were so much fun to photograph!
Ariel especially loved being in front of the camera -in fact, he sang out several tunes in-between photos as I was taking them, because he was so happy he was getting married! How awesome is that? (I think he was also practicing as he sang for Heila during the reception too -so cute!)
And Heila was incredibly gorgeous! We got so many amazing shots of her -I especially LOVE the shots at Kabalat Ponim with the little girl who gave Heila a drawing she made for the Kallah -so sweet!
It was so special for us to be there to capture these short-lived moments for this beautiful couple. These are definitely captured moments that will last a lifetime...you gotta love photography!
The decor was incredible -to say the least! All of the flowers and the draping work was all done by my parents at Heavenly Flowers -and I'm not just saying that it was beautiful because they are my parents either...when I say it was incredible, that's because it really was indeed GORGEOUS!! (So make sure to check out their work!)

Anyway, everything went amazingly well at this wedding and I do want to take a moment to thank the Kirzner and the Wellman families for entrusting us to capture such wonderful memories for their children -it was a great honour for us! Thank you so much. We certainly hope to be of continued service to you all!

Alright, well as you can very well imagine, it was insanely difficult to choose these few shots to represent the entire wedding -but I tried! And I hope you enjoy viewing them too!! Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear from you! :)

March 3, 2010

Shimon Enkin & Ita Steier: January 21st, 2010

Alright! We are finally starting to get back into the swing of things since returning from our trip! We had such an awesome time in Israel -and can't wait to go back again!! :)
We took over 6000 pictures while we were there (and we're still in the process of going through them all!) but it was totally worth it because now the pictures are what we have as a memory of our first trip to Israel! (This is one of the reasons for why we have such a passion for photography; it gives us the tool to capture a moment and to save it for life! We love it!! :)

Well, since returning from Israel, we've hit the pavement running with 2 weddings in the last 2 weeks of January (certainly no time for catching up on the jet lag here!). But that's ok, Bernard & I had lots of fun with Ita & Shimon, it was well worth the effort to come back in time to do their wedding!
Ita looked absolutely splendid in her wedding dress! WOW! She was simply stunning! And that cathedral gown...unbelievable! And Shimon was looking very sharp in his suit! It was great seeing him again after having photographed his sister Daniella's wedding only 10 months ago! We had a blast photographing both of them -they were so much fun!! =p

Below are just a few of our favourite shots from Shimon & Ita's wedding -the pictures came out so beautiful! (Of course, we couldn't help but take wonderful pictures what with such a good looking couple as they make, you can't get much better than this!)
Thank you so much, Ita & Shimon, for giving us the wonderful privilege of capturing your wedding day! Hope you enjoy!! :)

Happy New Year Everyone!! -January 4th, 2010

Bernard & I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy New Year! May this year bring lots of blessings and prosperity to you all!
You may have noticed that I'm writting this a little bit late (on January the 4th!), that's because right now we're taking a little break from work and are enjoying some time off in ISRAEL! That's right!! Right now, I'm writting to you from Galilee! (We finally got some internet connection here so I could write this post!)
It's been a wonderful trip so far and we look forward to seeing more of this beautiful country in the days to come! =p
We will be returning to Toronto on January 15th, 2010 where we'll resume our regular working schedules then.
(I also hope to be able to update the blog with some fresh work as well upon our return!)
Thank you so much for a wonderful past year in 2009 and for giving our family the wonderful opportunity to serve you and your families!
We are certainly looking foward to an awesome year in 2010 with you!

PS -Here's a fun shot of our family in Caeserea's National Park at the Roman Theater! With our parents from Heavenly Flowers.
